An unequaled performer trio in ‚My Body is Your Body‘ confronts the audience with their own gaze, challenges our traditional looks and introduces them to the ranks of the bi-frontal gaze arena: directly into the opposing benches those of the British Parliament. Object to be treated: the body including the ego in there.
For this exhibition, choreographer Tim Behren stages a performer trio with the Cologne dancer Mijin Kim and the acrobat duo Leonardo García and Leon Börgens, who lives in Brussels. A mirror casually throws back the geometry that was thrown in exactly. In the face of the mirrored gaze of our counterpart, however, so many seen reality appears as another. The supposedly objective suddenly becomes insensitive in the eye of the observer and opens up subtle interstices. Others see other things.
